Punta Cana.- Over 500 councilors from 33 Latin American countries convened in Punta Cana for the first Latin American Councilors Summit. It runs until November 2nd. The summit concentrates on five key municipal development areas. Participants will attend conferences, panel discussions, and round tables to learn practical tools. This will help improve each city’s urban management and living standards.
The summit will wrap up with a Final Declaration. This document outlines the collective commitments and future vision for Latin American cities. The final statement will highlight the commitment to transparent and resilient leadership that fosters sustainable and diverse communities.
Supported by various Dominican and Latin American organizations, the summit’s main objective is to strengthen municipal governance. It aims to address regional urban issues through a shared agenda.
