Punta Cana.- Over 500 local leaders from 33 Latin American nations are gathered at Punta Cana for the First Summit of Latin American Councilors, until November 2. It focuses on five areas: enhancing local legislatures, promoting urban growth, driving climate action, encouraging innovation, and fostering global cooperation. The summit targets providing practical tools and building alliances to better manage Latin American cities.
The summit will release a Final Declaration outlining future visions and commitments for Latin American cities. This will highlight councilors’ dedication to develop sustainable communities via transparent governance.
The summit, organized by the ADOVA, LMD, FEDODIM, and FLACMA, aims at bolstering municipal governance and addressing urban challenges collectively.
