2024 Inaugural Summit of Latin American Advisors Commences



Punta Cana.- Over 500 councilors and local leaders from 33 Latin American nations are attending the inaugural Summit of Latin American Councilors until Nov 2 in Punta Cana. The emphasis is on five areas: enhancing local legislative bodies, supporting eco-friendly urban expansion, climate change initiatives, innovation in public administration, and global cooperation. The summit’s objective is to equip councilors through forums and promote partnerships to better urban management and living standards in Latin American cities.

The Dominican Association of Vocals (ADOVA), in collaboration with the Dominican Municipal League (LMD), the Dominican Federation of Municipal Districts (FEDODIM) and the Latin American Federation of Cities, Municipalities and Municipal Associations (FLACMA), has organized the summit aiming to bolster municipal governance and develop shared tactics to meet regional urban challenges.
