Punta Cana:- Over 500 councilors from 33 Latin American countries are attending the inaugural Summit of Latin American Councilors in Punta Cana. The summit, which runs until November 2, aims to improve municipal development. It focuses on enhancing local legislative bodies, promoting sustainable urban growth, and driving climate action. It seeks to foster innovation in public management and encourage global cooperation. The councilors will share practical tools and build alliances to improve urban management and the quality of life in Latin American cities through conferences, panels, and round tables.
The summit will conclude with a Final Declaration. This document describes the collective commitments and vision for the future of Latin American cities. It highlights the councilors’ commitment to building sustainable and inclusive communities with transparent leadership.
