Punta Cana.- Over 500 councilors from 33 Latin American countries are attending the premier Summit of Latin American Councilors. The summit is until November 2nd. It aims for improvements in municipal bodies, sustainable urban growth, and climate action. It also promotes innovation and global cooperation. Lastly, it wants to enhance life quality in Latin American cities through useful tools and alliances.
A Final Declaration will conclude the summit. It will sustain councilors’ dedication to creating sustainable and inclusive communities with resilient leadership.
The Dominican Association of Vocals (ADOVA) organizes the summit, with the Dominican Municipal League (LMD), the Dominican Federation of Municipal Districts (FEDODIM), and the Latin American Federation of Cities (FLACMA). The goal is to strengthen municipal governance, and to address urban challenges.
