MADRID, Spain. The tourism publication TurisMag marked a major milestone during the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2026), achieving wide international exposure through the distribution of its special edition in both print and digital formats. Its presence at one of the world’s most important tourism fairs reinforced the magazine’s role as a key communication platform for promoting Dominican tourism and the broader business ecosystem that supports the industry.

This appearance represents the third international fair where TurisMag has showcased the Dominican Republic, following successful participation at events such as Top Resa in Paris, IFTM in London, and FIT Argentina. Across each of these global stages, the publication has consistently highlighted the country’s tourism strengths, while also giving visibility to the companies, institutions, and projects that form part of the tourism value chain.

High-level meetings and strategic visibility

TurisMag editor Máximo Miñoso Santoni attended FITUR 2026 in person, where he formally presented the magazine to leading figures in tourism, finance, and regional development. Among those who received copies were Dominican Minister of Tourism David Collado, the Governor of Puerto Rico, Banco Popular Dominicano President Christopher Paniagua, and key industry leaders such as Fernando Hazoury of Cap Cana and Encarna Piñero of the Piñero Group.

The publication also reached a wide audience of international investors, airline executives, tour operators, and destination managers, further positioning the Dominican Republic as a competitive, well-organized, and investment-ready destination in the Caribbean.

Strong institutional and private-sector backing

The success of TurisMag at FITUR was supported by the participation of major public and private institutions committed to tourism development. These included Grupo Cap Cana, Banco Popular Dominicano, Aerodom, Fideicomiso RD Vial, the Airport Department, Banreservas, Sky High, SIM Límites, Agencia de Viajes Bermellón, Fundación Pa’ lante Dominicana, and Enjoy Restaurant Punta Cana, among others.

Their involvement underscores the magazine’s ability to connect tourism stakeholders and showcase the collaborative efforts driving growth in the sector.

A platform connecting tourism, investment, and development

By maintaining a strong presence at FITUR 2026, TurisMag continues to strengthen international awareness of the Dominican Republic, positioning the country not only as a leisure destination but also as a hub for tourism-related investment and sustainable development.

Through strategic content, high-level distribution, and direct engagement with decision-makers, the magazine reinforces its mission to bridge the gap between tourism promotion and business development, ensuring that the Dominican Republic remains highly visible and competitive on the global tourism map.
