Hard Rock Punta Cana hosts 260+ JCI senators from 20 countries

More than 260 senators from Junior Chamber International (JCI) representing 20 countries across the Americas and the Caribbean are gathering at Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana from September 2 to 6 for the XVI JCI Senators Meeting of the region.

The five-day program combines institutional sessions, networking activities and cultural exchange spaces, according to Carmen Reyes, president of the JCI Senate of the Dominican Republic, and Ivette Cáceres, the event’s director. Both said the agenda was designed to encourage interaction among delegations while showcasing Dominican hospitality, in statements reported by Bávaro Digital.

Central activities include structured networking sessions between current and former leaders from different generations, a Global Village dedicated to cultural exchange among delegations, and the Assembly of the JCI Senators Association of the Americas and the Caribbean (ASAC), where new regional authorities will be elected. An awards ceremony is also scheduled to recognize distinguished trajectories within the organization.

A session called “Tarde de Recuerdos” — an afternoon of memories — will give participants space to share experiences and key moments from JCI’s history, according to the event organizers.

“Receiving more than 260 senators from 20 countries represents a great honor and an enormous responsibility for the Dominican Republic,” Reyes and Cáceres said in remarks collected by Bávaro Digital.

For the Punta Cana area, the event brings an additional flow of international visitors over five days during what is still considered a relatively low tourism season. Delegations will have access to fellowship activities and social experiences linked to local attractions and Dominican culture, the organization stated.

JCI is an international organization of young leaders and entrepreneurs with presence in more than 100 countries. The JCI Senate groups members who have completed their active stage and maintain ties of collaboration and leadership. This regional meeting is held periodically, and the current gathering marks its sixteenth edition for the Americas and the Caribbean.
