Punta Cana weather Sunday called for a hot and humid day, with early sunshine followed by scattered showers in the afternoon. Morning temperatures hovered around 27°C, rising to a high of 32°C during the day. High humidity made the heat feel more intense, according to the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET).

Cloud cover was expected to increase through the day, bringing brief and localized showers to parts of the Punta Cana tourism corridor. These rain events were not expected to affect the entire area uniformly, with some zones likely to remain dry. Winds from the east offered limited relief from the heat.
Nighttime temperatures were forecast to drop to around 26°C, maintaining a warm and partly cloudy environment. INDOMET advised residents and tourists to monitor official weather updates, as conditions could shift quickly throughout the day.
