The updated course tested athletes across three disciplines: a swim in El Lago, a cycling route passing the iconic Farallón de Cap Cana, and a running segment that wound through key areas of the destination before reaching the finish line.
Rosanna Peláez, CEO of MOVE, the event’s organizing body, said the 10th edition reflects the event’s growth and its role in promoting active lifestyles and sports tourism. “Reaching our 10th edition allows us to look back with pride while continuing to evolve,” she said.
Over the past decade, Tri Cap Cana Punta Cana has drawn national and international athletes across triathlon, duathlon, and running categories. This year’s winners included Jorge Emanuel Alemanez Martínez (men’s Sprint Triathlon) and Isabel Rodríguez Silverio (women’s Sprint Triathlon). In the Olympic Triathlon category, David Ballesta García and Leslie Amat Álvarez took top honors in men’s and women’s divisions, respectively.
The relay event was won by the team led by Elieser Grullón. Additional winners were recognized in duathlon and 5K and 10K races, with final results pending for the Sprint Duathlon category.
The event continues to be a key fixture in the region’s sports calendar, combining athletic challenge with scenic landscapes and community engagement.
