CAPE CANA.- The El Dorado Water Park in Cap Cana will be officially opened by President Luis Abinader on the upcoming Friday, September 13. According to Ibelca Mencía, relevant figures from the business and travel sectors are also expected at the event.
El Dorado Water Park is going to be a world-class site. It will be complemented by thrilling water rides, pristine natural surroundings, and top-rate services. The inauguration comes after construction, which started in December 2021 with President Abinader and David Collado, Minister of Tourism, breaking ground.
The park’s concept revolves around the fabled city of El Dorado. It is set to cover 115,000 square meters in three phases. Included in phase one is “The Temple of Water,” accommodating up to 3,000 visitors, “El Dorado Arena,” a 4,000 seat amphitheater, and various dining and shopping outlets.
The project is supported by foreign investment from Carlos Cobiella and GAM Capital.
