At the International Tourism Fair (FIT), Aerolíneas Argentinas revealed its highly anticipated flight schedule for the 2025–2026 summer season, announcing major increases in routes to the Caribbean, Brazil, and Uruguay—with Punta Cana standing out as one of the biggest winners.
More Flights to Punta Cana: Argentina’s Gateway to the Caribbean
The Dominican Republic’s most visited destination is set to welcome 10 new weekly connections from Argentina:
6 weekly flights leaving from Buenos Aires
3 weekly flights from Córdoba
1 weekly flight from Tucumán
This expansion not only strengthens Punta Cana’s position as a top Caribbean destination but also creates new opportunities for both tourists and investors. With the added flights, travelers will have greater flexibility in schedules, better connections, and a direct boost to the region’s tourism-driven economy.
Expanded Caribbean & Brazil Routes
But Punta Cana isn’t the only hotspot. Aerolíneas Argentinas also announced:
New seasonal flights to Aruba and Cabo Frio (Brazil)
Increased services to Cancún
Additional frequencies to Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Florianópolis, and Porto Seguro
In neighboring Uruguay, both Montevideo and Punta del Este will see stronger airline coverage, a clear sign of the company’s efforts to consolidate regional air traffic.
Strengthening Domestic Connectivity
Within Argentina, the airline will continue to prioritize key travel corridors. Routes such as Buenos Aires–Córdoba, Bariloche, Mendoza, Ushuaia, and Iguazú will be reinforced, while federal connections like Ushuaia–El Calafate and Salta–Iguazú aim to give travelers more point-to-point options without having to pass through Buenos Aires.
A Milestone Year: 75th Anniversary
As Aerolíneas Argentinas prepares to mark its 75th anniversary in December 2025 under the slogan “Towards the Future,” the company emphasizes its mission to balance operational efficiency with a reputation for safety, reliability, and competitive pricing.
This ambitious expansion shows the carrier’s confidence in the region’s tourism rebound and positions Punta Cana as a leading hub for Argentine travelers seeking sun, beaches, and strong connectivity to the Caribbean.
