Punta Cana, DR- The La Altagracia Golf Association (Agla) was crowned champion of the second edition of the Inter-Association Tournament of the Eastern Region 2023, held this Sunday at Punta Blanca Golf & Beach Club.
The Agla have won the event in a row. They did the same in 2022.
The Agla golfers, with 191.3 points, took the cup over the San Pedro Province Golf Association (SPGA), which obtained 139.8; in third place was La Romana Golf Association (Asoglar), with a score of 115.
The event, which was organized by the Dominican Golf Federation, was sponsored by Mastercard-BanReservas.
Marcel Olivares, from Agla, obtained the best score of the stop with 72, in category A. Rafael Pérez, from the SPGA, reached the AA, with 77. Teófilo López, also from the SPGA, was crowned in B, with a card out of 80. Rafael Santana, from Asoglar, won C, with a score of 85.
While in Senior A, Luis Matos, from Agla, dominated with 76. Senior B was taken from Agla by Teófilo Valera, with 80.
In the Ladies category, Stefania Mosyagina, from Agla, won A, after signing a card of 72. In B, also from Agla, Binky Hurtado, with 86, was the winner.
Enrique Rodríguez and Luís José Placeres, directors of Fedogolf, welcomed the players, urging them to give their best in this great tournament for their different associations.
While Smarling Mateo, director of Banreservas, praised Fedogolf for organizing such an important event.
Mateo felt grateful for the great reception of the tournament by the golfers of the Eastern zone in the great tournament that has been taking place successfully for two years.
