With the arrival of flight Y2 222 from Cartagena, Colombia, Air Century inaugurates its new route network from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), serving the most important destinations in the Caribbean.

In addition to Cartagena, in this first stage from Punta Cana, the airline will fly to Sint Maarten and Havana, starting on December 19; and Aruba and Curacao starting December 22, with flights operated on modern CRJ200 aircraft, offering travelers new connection possibilities between these destinations while contributing to the growth of tourism in the country.

“We are very pleased to inaugurate this new route network from the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), the main gateway for tourists to the country, and offer them more connection options with the Caribbean. Connectivity is key to the development of tourism. With these routes we seek to promote the concept of multi-destinations, so that our passengers have the opportunity to choose itineraries that allow them to collect unforgettable experiences in these Caribbean cities,” said Omar Chahin, president of Air Century.

Flights to Aruba and Curacao will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; while, to Sint Maarten, Havana and Cartagena they will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The scheduled connections are: Sint Maarten – Cartagena: Thursday and Sunday and Sint Maarten – Havana: Tuesday and Thursday.

“This strategic alliance responds to our mission to continue being the airport with the most air traffic in the Dominican Republic, receiving 69% of the tourists who arrive in our country,” said Giovanni Rainieri, director of Airside Operations at the Punta Cana International Airport.

With the inauguration of this new route network from Punta Cana, Air Century reaffirms its leadership and commitment to tourism and the generation of business in the Caribbean, contributing to its development.
