Punta Cana, Dominican Republic – Air France has confirmed it will restart nonstop flights between Paris and Punta Cana beginning January 13, 2026, a move expected to significantly enhance air access from Europe and further strengthen the flow of French visitors to the Dominican Republic’s top tourism hub.

The route will operate seasonally through March 28, 2026, with three weekly flights every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Service will be provided aboard Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, known for their long-haul comfort, modern cabins, and premium onboard services. The airline has already opened ticket sales through its official booking platforms.

According to Grupo Puntacana, a formal inaugural event to celebrate the return of the Paris–Punta Cana route is scheduled for January 13 at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony will take place at Terminal B of Punta Cana International Airport and is expected to bring together government officials, Air France executives, airport authorities, and key representatives from the Dominican tourism industry.

With this announcement, Punta Cana becomes Air France’s sixth destination in the Caribbean, underscoring the airline’s confidence in the Dominican Republic and the continued growth of demand from the French and broader European markets. The renewed connection reinforces Punta Cana’s position as a leading sun-and-beach destination and highlights its strategic importance within the region’s international air network.

The return of this direct route is widely seen as a positive boost for tourism, hospitality, and economic activity, particularly during the high winter travel season when European demand traditionally peaks.
