Al Horford to Make History by Bringing the NBA Trophy to the Dominican Republic for the First Time


Santo Domingo.- Al Horford, a Dominican NBA star, brings the admired Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy to the Dominican Republic. This is the first time that the trophy has been brought to the country. Horford, alongside his wife, Amelia Vega, and their children, flys on a JetBlue plane, decorated with Boston Celtics colors and championship emblems.

Amelia Vega shares a video on social media. The video shows Horford boarding the plane with the trophy in hand. Excitedly, he states, “Dominicana, let’s go.”

Horford plans to arrive at Las Americas International Airport around 4:00 p.m. besides his wife and relatives. Joe Mazzulla, the Boston Celtics coach relatives, will be there too.
