Santo Domingo.- The National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) has completed the sixth edition of its annual event, “Legal Trends”. The event focused on legal changes affecting business practices. This year, it emphasized micro, small and medium-sized entities (MSMEs). The event, coordinated by ANJE’s Justice and Legislation Commission, attracted over 200 young entrepreneurs and legal professionals. It facilitated discussions about the evolving legal environment in the Dominican Republic.
The event incorporated three sessions covering crucial issues such as the legal framework for investments, growth strategies for MSMEs and stock market opportunities. Key speakers included Marcos Peña, founding partner of Jiménez Peña. He discussed contract tactics for increasing capital, while Yorlin Vásquez of the DGII addressed tax requirements and potential labor reforms for MSMEs.
The event concluded with the unveiling of a localized version of the Simple Participation Contracts (SAFE) model. This is designed to ease capital procurement for start-ups. Major Dominican firms and sponsors supported this initiative, underscoring ANJE’s significant role in the nation’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
