SANTO DOMINGO. – As part of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Consular Corps, its Dean, Fernando González Nicolás, Malaysian Honorary Consul in the country, offered a cocktail at the Peperoni restaurant to announce the ninth version of its Golf Cup.
The traditional annual golf event, which will take place on September 9 at Punta Espada Golf Club Cap Cana, will be dedicated to the Deans of the Consular Corps since the creation of the entity in 1952, with special mention to the former dean, Don Antonio Alma Yamín , for his contribution to the creation and enhancement of the Consular Golf Cup.
The 9th Consular Golf Cup is organized by the Consular Corps accredited in the Dominican Republic (CCARD) and will have the Margaritaville Island Resort Cap Cana as host Hotel; which will have special rates for players and companions with the consular golf cup code.
The organizing committee of the sports fair is chaired by Emilio Hasbún, consul of Barbados, and it will be played in a Scramble format as a couple.
This ninth version of the Golf Cup will have various prizes for the winners and tournament participants, as well as a White party dinner, followed by the Awards Ceremony at the Margaritaville Hotel, which will be full of surprises for all participants.
Mr. González Nicolás during the meeting with the press was accompanied by members of the Board of Directors of the Consular Corps, the organizing committee, special guests and sponsors.
This is the sports and social event par excellence that began in 2014, becoming a tradition among golf lovers ever since.
