Punta Cana, RD.- The prominent Spanish hotel executive, Jordi Guillaumet, was appointed to occupy the position of General Manager of the new hotel in the Punta Cana destination, the Secret Tides Punta Cana Resorts & Spa.
Guillaumet began his functions this August and will be primarily responsible for the opening of the property that will operate under the umbrella of the Inclusive Collection, part of World of Hyatt and with the luxury brand Secrets Resorts.

Guillaumet is a highly valued executive in the Punta Cana destination with 8 years in charge of Natura Park Resort, also leading its subsequent transformation to the Dreams Flora Resorts. He also served as Caribbean Regional Director for Blau Hotels and previously held General Manager positions for Meliá Hotels International in Cuba for 3 years.
SECRET TIDES PUNTA CANA RESORTS & SPA
Secrets Tides Punta Cana Resorts & Spa will be the third property operating under the Secrets® Resorts & Spas by AMR Collection brand in Punta Cana and the 13th AMR Collection resort in the Dominican Republic destination.
The property, located on the beachfront of Uvero Alto and which involved an investment of US$175 million, is months away from its opening with completion works well advanced, so it is expected to be operating by the end of 2023.
Tides Punta Cana will have 670 luxuriously designed rooms, including suites with direct access to the pool and incredible views of the sea or the gardens.
The “adults only” resort will offer seven gourmet à la carte restaurants, including a fusion Mediterranean-Asian gastronomy restaurant and a Brazilian theme restaurant, a buffet restaurant, eight bars and lounges, pool and beach service, national drinks and unlimited international, 24-hour room and concierge services, world-class Secrets Spa by Pevonia®, daily activities, entertainment, nightly events and more.
