Punta Cana.- From October 28, Arajet will operate four weekly direct flights between Cartagena, Colombia and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This initiative by the Cartagena Mayor’s Office broadens the ties between these two Caribbean locations. It increases Cartagena’s access to other American destinations like São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Toronto and Mexico City. Punta Cana is now Arajet’s second air hub from Cartagena, joining Santo Domingo.
Dumek Turbay Paz, Cartagena’s mayor, highlights this new connection as a boost for tourism. He sees Cartagena as a significant Caribbean travel hub. Turbay welcomes Arajet’s expansion and believes it will spur more travel between Colombia and the Dominican Republic, enhancing Cartagena’s international allure.
Flights are set for Saturdays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Departure options are available in the morning and afternoon.
