Punta Cana — Arajet has officially launched nonstop service between Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) and Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB), becoming the only carrier currently offering international flights from the Sanford terminal.

The new route operates three times per week—Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—linking Central Florida with a broad network of Latin American destinations via Punta Cana, including Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Santiago de Chile, Mexico City, Córdoba, and Lima. The schedule is designed to facilitate smooth connections for both leisure and visiting-friends-and-relatives (VFR) travelers.

A milestone for Sanford’s international service
At the inaugural ceremony, Dominican Consul General in Orlando, Domingo Rosario, and Orlando Sanford International Airport President, Nicole Martz, applauded the launch, underscoring its importance for strengthening ties between Florida and the Dominican Republic while marking a key step in the revival of international operations at SFB.

  • Check baggage policies and connection windows when planning onward travel to cities like São Paulo, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City.
