Santo Domingo, RD.- The National Hotel Association (Asonahores) announced the Paradisus Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa Resort, as the main venue for the XXIV edition of the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE) to be held from April 24 to 26 in the Punta Cana destination.
At a meeting in High QuarryThe President of ASONAHORES, David Llibre, assured that DATE “is the most important tourism promotion fair for the Dominican Republic product in the country and the Caribbean, which in its last edition recorded more than 7,000 appointment requests, becoming the largest inventory generated in its history.”
For her part, Aguie Lendor, executive VP of ASONAHORES, highlighted that DATE is a platform to produce, through a prior agenda, a space for negotiation between foreign buyers and local suppliers, with the aim of promoting the national tourism industry to important source markets. US, Europe and Latin America.
The meeting was attended by members, suppliers, related parties, the press and the board of directors. It also had the special participation of Tammy Reynoso, Vice Minister of Development of the Ministry of Tourism and Francisco Camps, Managing Director of Meliá Hotels International in the DR, who thanked ASONAHORES for having selected the Paradisus Paradisus Palma Real to host DATE 2024, a recently renovated hotel with an investment of US$50 million that included the installation of solar panels, which allow it to currently be carbon neutral in the events and conventions sector.
