Avia Solutions Group to Establish Maintenance, Repair, and Operations Hangar in the Dominican Republic

FL Techniques, the subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group, has initiated the establishment of a new MRO infrastructure in the international airport Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, the second busiest airport in the Caribbean.

The company said the first stage of the Punta Cana hangar construction process is expected to take up to two years.

Upon completion, the facility will include five bays for base maintenance operations, including a support workshop complex. It is planned to expand the hangar to include a total of 12 bays.

The facilities, including the hangar and the warehouses, will have an area of ​​20,000 square meters and the total area of ​​the new infrastructure will be 52,000 square meters.

Jonas Yanuken, executive director of Avia Solutions Group, commented: “To ensure the necessary infrastructure for our global airlines ACMI, we have decided to invest in installations of MRO In the Caribbean. Avia recently announced that its subsidiary express plane is establishing ACMI Airlines in Brazil to serve its long-standing customers in Colombia, Chile, Brazil and the Dominican Republic.

FL Technics has base maintenance hangars in Lithuania (Vilnius and Kaunas), England (London Stansted), Scotland (Prestwick) and Indonesia (Jakarta).
