Santo Domingo, RD. – At the recent annual summit of the Financial Alliance for Women (Financial Alliance for Women), held for the first time in the Dominican Republic, leaders and experts from Banco BHD shared their experiences and initiatives focused on the empowerment of women in the business and economic sphere.
Steven Puig, president of the BHD Bank presented a deep vision of the reality of women entrepreneurs in the country, highlighting their essential role in the economy. She placed emphasis on the challenge of engaging more young women in the business sector, highlighting education, especially in areas of technology, as a key tool for advancement.

Likewise, Rosa Marubeny García, vice president of Cards and Payment Methods at Banco BHD, offered details about the Women’s credit card, highlighting its significant growth.
Martha Peralta, senior vice president of Talent Management at Banco BHD, emphasized the institution’s inclusive culture of equality and gender equity, pointing to internal policies and the development of female leadership. Additionally, she mentioned the BHD’s commitment to social responsibility, particularly on issues of women’s health and non-violence against women.
During the summit, Banco BHD was recognized as an outstanding collaborator of the Financial Alliance for Women, while its president, Steven Puig, was honored with the award Change Maker Champion.
