Santo Domingo, DR. – The Dominican Mortgage Bank announced its participation in the Madrid International Tourism Fair, Fitur 2024, but prior to the opening of the exhibition it will hold the BHD Forum: Tourism and Investment in Madrid, with the theme “Sustainable tourism. Current situation, perspective, mitigants and best practices.

The BHD Forum will feature presentations by Jacqueline Mora, technical vice minister of the Ministry of Tourism, and Bernardo Fuentes, vice president of Economic Studies of Banco BHD. Likewise, a panel will be held with local and international experts Haydee Kuret de Rainieri, from Grupo Puntacana; José Luis Jiménez, Investment Director of MAPFRE, Spain; Felipe Buhigas, corporate commercial and marketing director of the Solunion company; and David Llibre, president of Asonahores.

When announcing the forum, Molina Maríñez expressed that “tourism is a great enhancer of development in communities and, consequently, of the country. Hence our interest in establishing a space for conversation about the best sustainability practices in the industry that in turn translate into progress for the companies that make it up.”

The day after the forum, the BHD will be participating in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) that will be held from January 24 to 28 with the presence of a delegation led by Steven Puig, president of the BHD.

Molina Maríñez highlighted the management of the Ministry of Tourism to promote the Dominican Republic in this important global fair and promote the development of the tourism industry in our country.

During FITUR, considered a global meeting point for the Ibero-American tourism industry, the BHD will present a robust proposal for participating companies, which includes the presence of specialized executives to offer advice and financing.

“Our value proposition for tourism projects is aimed at offering a financial service of excellence. In this sense, we have loan structuring services, syndicated loan administration, sale and leaseback, resource management in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions,” highlighted Molina Maríñez.

These services are offered by a team of experts from Banco BHD in structuring financing in the sectors of tourism and related services, mass consumption and commerce, infrastructure and construction, manufacturing and agriculture, financial institutions, government and the social sector.
