Brazilian tourism fair Festuris 2024 to feature DR as guest country of honor

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC will be the guest of honor at the 36th edition of FESTURIS – International Tourism Fair, considered the most effective tourism business fair in the Americas. The event will take place in GRAMADO, BRAZIL from November 7 to 10 this year.

Therefore, Paola Gomez, director of the Dominican Republic Tourism Office in Brazil, said that “this distinction highlights the country's constant participation in Festuris and its effort to promote its attractions among Brazilian travelers.”

“We are very excited to be honored as the guest country of Festuris Gramado 2024, especially since it is the first edition of the fair after the devastating floods that affected Rio Grande do Sul. We are sure that, thanks to the efforts of the gauchos, the state will emerge stronger than ever,” he said.

Eduardo Zorzanello, CEO of Festuris, said that “it is an honor to have the Dominican Republic with this status as a guest country. They have been with us since the first editions, initially represented and then with their own pavilion from the 2000s. It is a pride to have them with us, since Brazil is a great consumer of Dominican attractions, especially its famous beaches such as Punta Cana.”

It is worth remembering that Festuris is a highly relevant event that has been held in Gramado since 1989. It is a space for debate on current tourism issues and a key platform for business, achieving effective results for exhibitors.
