The amphitheater, built with an investment of 30 million dollars, was inaugurated in a private ceremony this Friday, at 4:00 in the afternoon, and four and a half hours later, when the clock showed 8:30 at night. The legendary artist Elton John took the stage in a concert with 2,600 people who enjoyed his voice, his piano, and his extraordinary repertoire. During the concert, the artist performed his best hits before an audience that sang his songs, applauded, and applauded him after each song. After an hour of singing non-stop, Elton John sang “Cold Heart” as his farewell and closed the night with a standing audience, thus sealing the beginning of a new stage in the Cap Cana, Punta Cana, and Bávaro area.

Carlos Cobiella, president of Dorado Park, expressed during his keynote speech that the construction of this amphitheater faced several challenges, such as the pandemic and Hurricane Fiona, but it was completed in less than two years. He highlighted the interest of many producers to produce in this amphitheater, which will help promote the area’s entertainment offering and diversify the current tourist profile.
Fernando Hazoury, president of the board of directors of Cap Cana, congratulated President Abinader for his vision of macro-tourism and the increasing complementary offer in the Dominican Republic.
