Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Casa de Campo: A Historic Event

“Prison Break” star Amaury Nolasco and TV icon Daisy Fuentes presided over the first night of events, highlighting sensational performances that echoed through the historic venue. Among the performers was Robin Wilson of Gin Blossoms. He brought back the ’90s vibe with hits such as “Hey Jealousy” and “Found Out About You”. Additionally, Cheap Trick’s Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Robin Zander electrified the crowd with classics, one being “I Want You to Want Me”. Richard Marx also presented an impactful set of his most popular songs, with his distinctive guitar playing standing out.

Pedro Capó, renowned for his Latin beats, added a Caribbean flavor to the celebration and expressed his delight to perform on Dominican soil for such a significant event. “The enchantment of performing in Altos de Chavón is beyond comparison,” were his words following his energetic performance.

The performance lineup for tonight includes Grammy recipient Jon Secada, pop star Taylor Dayne, erstwhile Kansas vocalist John Elefante, and rising Colombian star Llane, as part of this historic music fest.

Jason Kycek, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer said, “This festivity marks more than the 50-year milestone of luxurious hospitality; it epitomizes the enduring legacy of Casa de Campo in crafting exceptional moments that transcend generations”, he added, “From our remarkable drone show illuminating the Caribbean sky to top-tier performances in our renowned amphitheater, we are catalyzing a new benchmark for luxury entertainment in the region.”.

The momentous event gained wide media attention when Univision’s top-rated entertainment show “El Gordo y La Flaca” broadcasted live for three consecutive days from Casa de Campo. Hosts Lili Estefan, Raúl de Molina, and Clarissa Molina guided viewers on an insider’s tour of the resort’s iconic sites, from Altos de Chavón’s cobblestone lanes to the unspoiled Playa Minitas, with exclusive back-stage access and interviews with celebrities accentuating the grandeur of the historic celebration.

“Casa de Campo is not just a resort – it’s an enduring testament to Dominican luxury and hospitality,” Raúl de Molina commented during the transmission. “Even after 50 years, it still stands as the crown jewel of Caribbean tourism.”

As part of the ongoing 50th anniversary festivities, Latin Grammy winner Carlos Vives is set to perform on December 7. This coincides with the inauguration of daily direct American Airlines flights from Miami to La Romana Airport (LRM) on December 5.

A new statement detailing the performances on Saturday night will be issued on Sunday, October 27.
