Punta Cana; CEPM inaugurates the first occupational health and well-being center in the energy sector. Beyond a conventional primary care unit, the new center offers advanced technology for a variety of comprehensive wellness services, addressing physical, mental, and emotional aspects of health.

CEPM is the first company in the energy sector to have an occupational health center, equipped with cutting-edge equipment and technology to ensure special and rigorous monitoring of all the exposures of its workers.

La Altagracia, March 21, 2024.- The Punta Cana Macao Energy Consortium (CEPM) marks a significant milestone with the inauguration of its innovative Health and Wellness Center, becoming the first company in the energy sector in the country with an installation of this type. This pioneering center redefines the standard of workplace wellness, offering a wide range of services designed to address all the physical and mental health needs of its employees.

The event had the notable presence of Duclenia Tavares, lawyer from the Directorate of Equal Opportunities and Non-Discrimination of the Ministry of Labor; Dr. Marta Nina, Coordinator of the National Breastfeeding Program of the Ministry of Public Health, as well as representatives of Humano Seguros, members of the press, collaborators, and directors of CEPM.

Strategically located within its facilities in Bávaro, this center not only provides quality medical care, but goes further, offering a variety of services that make it one of a kind. “The center we are opening exceeds the limits of a conventional primary care unit. We are the first company in the energy sector that has an occupational health center, equipped with cutting-edge equipment and technology to ensure special and rigorous monitoring of all exposures of our workers,” said Jimmy Aybar, Health and Safety Manager. and Environment at CEPM.

Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the center performs audiometry, spirometry, electrocardiograms, and other occupational evaluations. In addition, it has an area for emergencies, outpatient consultations, and an Industrial Hygiene laboratory fully equipped with noise, particle, heat dosimeters, lux meters, and multigas monitors.

A unique feature of this center is its fully equipped lactation room, designed to provide a relaxed, safe, and private environment for working mothers. In addition, it will provide nutritional programs to promote healthy eating habits and access to free psychological consultations, recognizing the importance of taking care of not only the physical health, but also the mental health of its collaborators.
