Championship Title is Awarded to Teri Ditsch and April Ramos



Punta Cana.- The Dominican Republic hosted the “Scramble Open Punta Cana 2024”. It took place at La Cana Golf Club and Corales Golf Course. The winners were Teri Ditsch and April Ramos from the Tucson, Arizona chapter of the LPGA Amateurs Golf Association.

The tournament started at La Cana Golf Club on the Tortuga and Arrecife courses. Players were welcomed at the SBG Punta Cana restaurant, including the men’s teams. It’s the only women’s golf tournament in the country that includes a men’s category. The decisive second round occurred at the Corales Golf Club.

Tulio Luna directed the competition and used Golf Genius technology. The well-executed event affirmed the Dominican Republic’s status as a top golf destination in the Caribbean. The LPGA Amateurs Golf Association DR will conclude the 2024 season with the Big3 Christmas tournament on December 7.

  • Flight 1: Best Raw Score: Teri Ditsch and April Ramos; Net 1st Place: Cindy Grider and Cecilia de Nord
  • Flight 2: Best Gross Score: Brenda Martinez and Michelle Curiel; Net 1st Place: Smill Collado and Tania Marmolejos
  • Flight 3: Best Raw Score: Karen García-Harris and Nicone Gordon; Net 1st Place: Sunilda Gómez and Arisleyda Riehl
  • Knight Flight: 1st Place Gross: Luis Francis and Amaury Martinez; Net 1st Place: Ricardo Díaz and David Rosario

Awards were given for precision drives and longest drives on both courses.
