Club Med Punta Cana to Reopen on November 9 Following Significant Damage from Fire

The all-inclusive resort, Club Med Punta Cana, has revealed its reopening date as November 9 after suffering substantial damage due to a fire incident.

In a released statement, Club Med assures that “guest safety, security, and comfort continues to be our main concern”. The reopening date of Club Med Punta Cana has been determined after careful assessment, guaranteeing only the finest service and comfort the patrons expect from them.

An announcement made by Pax news reveals that available amenities will include kids’ clubs, dining at the Hispaniola restaurant and the Indigo Beach Club & Bar, Circus School activities, and relaxation areas for adults such as the Zen Oasis or the Exclusive Collection Space when the resort resumes operations.

Guests who had made reservations for the closure time of the resort can contact them at 1-888-932-2582 to discuss the best options for rebooking.

The fire incident at the Club Med Punta Cana took place in the early hours of September 12.

The resort’s on site staff, along with local authorities in the Dominican Republic, was efficient in putting out the fire promptly, assures the hotel in their statement.

The hotel verifies that there were no damages or serious injuries to any rooms, and only one guest suffered a minor injury during the evacuation process, needing medical care.

To alleviate the situation, Club Med offered its guests the option to continue their vacation at another Club Med property located in the Dominican Republic named Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda, approximately under a two-hour drive from there.
