Collaboration Agreement Signed by Asonahores and Barna to Enhance Academic Activities Promotion

The Hotel and Tourism Association of the Dominican Republic, Asonahores and the Barna High Management School, signed during the celebration of the thirty-fifth Asonahores Commercial Exhibition, held at BlueMall Puntacana, an agreement to promote training among members of the entity, and promote training activities.

David Llibre, president of Asonahores, expressed that with this agreement the hotel sector seeks to increase its knowledge to strengthen its functions and contribute effectively to the competitiveness and sustainable development of the Dominican tourism sector.

“At Asonahores, within the different purposes that define us, we have the objective of taking advantage of the educational resources that allow us to improve tourism, hotel and all complementary offerings in the sector,” said Llibre.

Meanwhile, Ignacio Santoni, Commercial Director, member of the Barna Council and Professor of Commercial Management and Marketing explained that the collaboration will be developed in the areas of knowledge of mutual interest and in the field of production of joint activities to promote areas focused on the sectors productive of the national economy.

“With the signing of this agreement we hope to support the management and business area for the tourism sector in the interest of expanding its relationship with the productive sectors throughout the national territory,” said Professor Santoni.

While Andrés Marranzini Grullón, executive vice president of Asonahores, explained that, by supporting Barna in the Excellence Scholarship program, the institution reiterates its commitment to promoting academic training as part of the functions that identify the entity.

He added that the study that he will carry out together with the economic intelligence company Analytica, on the recovery of tourism, will be part of the case studies to be developed with the aforementioned study house.

The teaching areas that will be included in this agreement are research activities, participation in seminars, courses, workshops and other academic activities, as well as the exchange of studies and publications, joint training programs and publications.
