The German airline Condor, which recently reaffirmed at the ITB Berlin tourism fair, the continuity of its operations from the city of Frankfurt to Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo and Punta Cana with regular flights. We remember that Condor also operates charter flights to La Romana with passengers who subsequently board cruise ships to travel the various Caribbean routes.
In that sense, we also remember that the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, signed with Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor, the operations agreement in 2024, with daily flights to Punta Cana (PUJ), and two weekly flights to Santo Domingo (SDQ) and Puerto Plata (POP), for a total of 9 flights, all from Frankfurt.
In this way, Condor takes advantage of these operations to Punta Cana to triangulate with Antigua from November 5, using an Airbus A330-900neo equipment, which will have a total of 27 rotations labeled with Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The aircraft configuration can accommodate a total of 310 passengers with 30 business class seats and 64 premium economy seats, ideal for Antigua and Barbuda's target audience.
