Punta Cana- The Corales Puntacana Championship got nominated for “Best Marketing Initiative” and “Best Element of its Type” at the 2023-2024 PGA TOUR Tournament Awards. These nominations commemorate its community impact and event management excellence.
Manuel Sajour, CEO of Grupo Puntacana, is proud of these nominations. They highlight the commitment to providing excellent experiences and innovative strategies. The “Best Marketing Initiative” category includes tournaments such as RBC Heritage, The Memorial Tournament, Valero Texas Open, BMW Championship, and RBC Canadian Open.
The “Best in Class” category recognizes high standard services, campaigns, or activities that other tournaments can emulate.
The Corales Puntacana Championship is due April 14-20, 2025, at the Corales Golf Course. It is important for the Dominican Republic as it promotes the country globally through golf tourism. The tournament offers 300 FedExCup points, and will be aired live on the Golf Channel. It is expected to attract over 7 million viewers in the U.S. and 4 million in Europe.
