Punta Cana, La Altagracia, DR. – With the motto “A party for the palate”, Puntacana Resort presents the first edition of the Culinary Weekend, to be held from March 7 to 10, with the participation of five renowned chefs from Latin America in a unique culinary meeting.
International chefs Mitsuhara Tsuruma, Marsia Taha, Benjamin Nast, Álvaro Clavijo and Janaina Torres will present exquisite dishes selected to create an unforgettable dining experience.
The gastronomic event will open with a cocktail on Thursday, March 7, introducing the chefs of the weekend, with appetizers prepared by the Bolivian Marsia Taha, recognized in 2021 with the award for the Newest Female Chef of Latin America, according to the list The World's 50 Best Restaurants; and the Chilean chef Benjamin Nast, classified in the Latin America 50 Best Restaurants.
On Friday the 8th, the Culinary Weekend experience will be led by chef Mitsuhara Tsuruma, a specialist in Nikkei gastronomy, which arises from the mix between Japanese and Peruvian cuisine.
Currently, Tsuruma is the owner of the Peruvian restaurant MAIDO, which occupies first place as the best restaurant in Peru according to the SUMMUM Guide, third place on the list of Latin America 50 Best Restaurants and 11th place on The World's list. 50 Best Restaurants.
On Saturday, March 9, the Culinary Weekend gastronomic experience is led by the talented chef Janaina Rueda, ranked #4 in the “50 Best” Restaurants in Latin America, accompanied by the mastery of Marsia Taha.
The event concludes on Sunday, March 10 with the culinary creativity of chef Alvaro Clavijo, ranked second in the “50 Best” Restaurants in Latin America, and once again enjoy the distinction of Benjamin Nast.
