David Collado presenta a República Dominicana en Roadshow Orlando

La República Dominicana celebra un Roadshow por tercera vez en Orlando, Florida. Más de 350 tour operadores, agentes de viajes y representantes de aerolíneas principales asistieron para descubrir las atracciones turísticas del país caribeño.

David Collado, Ministro de Turismo, presentó la oferta turística del país. Destacó las playas paradisíacas, la rica cultura y la amabilidad de su gente. Collado compartió información sobre las acciones en el sector turístico y el crecimiento de turistas y vuelos desde la pandemia hasta ahora. Mencionó nuevas rutas aéreas con: American Airlines, Jet Blue, Copa Airlines, Delta, entre otras. También habló de nuevos atractivos en la isla como destino turístico.

Orlando es la tercera ciudad más importante en Estados Unidos y la sexta en el mundo para el turismo dominicano. En 2023, 215 mil turistas llegarons desde Orlando, lo que representa el 19% del total de turistas de Estados Unidos. En septiembre de 2024, este porcentaje aumentó al 22%.

Por esto, es importante para el país fortalecer las relaciones comerciales y las oportunidades de negocio con esta ciudad.

Estamos comprometidos a impulsar el turismo de la República Dominicana. Queremos continuar creando empleos, generando divisas y fortaleciendo nuestra economía. Hasta septiembre, hemos recibido 197 mil turistas desde el Aeropuerto de Orlando, con proyecciones de crecimiento del 10% para 2024. Estas cifras nos motivan a seguir posicionando a la República Dominicana como un destino preferente internacionalmente,” dijo David Collado.

Este acontecimiento es parte de la estrategia del Ministerio de Turismo para promocionar el país internacionalmente y atraer más visitantes. Esto contribuye al crecimiento sostenido del sector turístico.
