This sector has been under scrutiny and is strengthening due to the investments by international brands along with the improvement and conversion of some hotel infrastructures to cater to this market.
Senior Executive Vice President of National and International Business of Banco Popular Dominicano, René Grullón, along with Executive President of Banco BHD, Steven J. Puig, and General Manager of Banreservas, Samuel Pereyra, publicly showed their support for this key commercial drive. This boosts local economy and elevates the country as a prime destination in the Caribbean region.
At the significant event called Exploring Luxury Tourism, which occurred at
the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Minister David Collado showcased the astonishing tourist attractions of the Dominican Republic. The event witnessed the participation of over 44 CEOs, more than 30 Vice Presidents and numerous senior executives from major airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, hotel chains, and luxury investors from North America and Latin America.
The Global CEO of Four Seasons, Alejandro Reynal was acknowledged for his extraordinary leadership and his contribution to luxury tourism. This acknowledgement was a representation of not just an individual honor, but it also reflected the growth and influence that Dominican Republic has had on the luxury tourism industry.
This event marks a significant progression in Dominican Republic’s plan to draw a high-end clientele and compete in the international tourism market.
