New Jersey.- The Prudential Center buzzed with life Wednesday night. Thousands of fans, many waving Dominican flags, gathered for the “Alofoke Prudential” show. This was a Latin music event, put together by Santiago Matías (Alofoke). His eight-month planning and $700,000 investment paid off in this night of success and unity.
The evening kicked off with a star-studded red carpet. The show started with performances by dazzling artists such as Vakeró, El Mayor Clásico, Lomiiel, Papera, and Donaty. Their set included the hit “Que Linda,” from the Alofoke Radio Show studio.
Surprise guest American rapper Offset joined Dominican artist Jey One on stage. Performers like Toño Rosario, Candy Flow, and the comedic pair Raymond and Miguel brought life to the show. Headliners La Perversa and Yailin La Más Viral commanded the night’s attention. Despite mixed reviews, Yailin’s performance was applauded by many, while others suggested it was “sabotaged.”
The night’s crescendo was Eladio Carrión’s performance of “Thunder and Lightning”. Yiyo Sarante wrapped it up, leaving the audience craving more. A blend of merengue, salsa and dembow, “Alofoke Prudential” shone a spotlight on the Dominican Republic in the Latin music universe.
