PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic — Downtown Punta Cana is quickly positioning itself as one of the area’s newest hospitality hotspots, following confirmation of at least two Hilton-branded hotel developments that will expand lodging options for both visitors and business travelers.
Among the projects is the DoubleTree by Hilton Punta Cana Downtown, a 120-room property designed to serve leisure guests as well as the growing corporate market in the region. In addition, Hilton has announced a Hampton by Hilton Punta Cana, expected to open in 2026, marking the arrival of the Hampton brand to Punta Cana.
Beyond guestrooms, the planned developments aim to deliver a more complete experience, featuring a full-service restaurant, conference and event facilities, meeting rooms, and coworking areas—amenities intended to meet demand from companies, groups, and event organizers increasingly choosing Punta Cana for business travel and meetings.
The projects are supported by financing that includes more than RD$4.2 billion allocated to help strengthen tourism-related infrastructure, reflecting Banco BHD’s continued focus on backing the sector’s growth.
Hilton’s latest move fits within a broader wave of investment across Dominican tourism, as new hotel openings and major developments continue to reshape the country’s hospitality and experiences landscape, with Punta Cana remaining at the center of that momentum.
