The spokesperson expressed the group’s appreciation for the president and vice president due to the recent removal of the tax reform proposal. They marked it as “a clear example of listening and democracy.”
The Alliance’s press release stated that its members have developed over 65,000 rooms in the area and plan to build about 100,000 housing units in the next seven years. The investment surpasses 12 billion dollars.
The projects are expected to generate more than 65,000 direct and indirect jobs. They can also maintain steady growth in one of the Caribbean’s most important tourist destinations.
The meeting at the National Palace aimed to discuss the challenges in the Verón, Bávaro-Punta Cana area, such as project permission, local investments, and priority works that support the economic and social development of the area.
The senator for La Altagracia, Rafael Duluc, attended the meeting alongside representatives of various local organizations. They collectively contribute to 70% of the investments in Bávaro-Punta Cana, promoting economic growth for the region and the nation.
