Empresarios del turismo del Este, preocupados por la reforma fiscal

El representante de la provincia La Altagracia, Rafael B. Duluc (Cholitín), conversó con representantes de la Alianza Empresarial de Desarrolladores y Constructores de la Zona Este. Dialogaron sobre la reforma fiscal y el apoyo a la industria turística.

La discusión principal estuvo centrada en cómo las reformas propuestas afectarán al sector del turismo. Esta industria es una parte esencial de la economía de la región y de la provincia de La Altagracia, lugar donde se encuentra Punta Cana, el principal punto turístico del país.

La Alianza Empresarial de Desarrolladores y Constructores presentó un documento durante la reunión. Expresaba su preocupación por los riesgos que la reforma fiscal representa para la industria turística.

El amigo documento señalaba: «Creemos que la reforma fiscal amenaza la seguridad jurídica. Supone un serio peligro para el desarrollo de proyectos y la inversión en turismo inmobiliario. Este último ha diversificado la oferta de alojamiento para los turistas y ha mejorado el perfil de visitante que ha llegado a la República Dominicana».

El presidente del Senado, Ricardo de los Santos, destacó la relevancia de estos diálogos para garantizar un crecimiento sostenido y equilibrado de la industria turística. Es relevante mencionar que esta asociación representa al 70% de los desarrolladores de la zona.

La senadora Ginette Bournigal, presidenta de la Comisión de Turismo del Senado, encabezó la reunión. Estuvieron presentes los legisladores: Franklin Romero, María Mercedes Ortiz, Aneudy Ortiz, Rafael B. Duluc, Aracelis Villanueva, Augusto Velázquez, Antonio Marte, Omar Fernández, Bernardo Alemán, Santiago Zorrilla y Edward Espiritusanto.

Los empresarios resaltaron el valor histórico de esta reunión. Consideraron que es un espacio para que los líderes de la industria turística colaboren activamente en el diálogo sobre la industria.

Entre los participantes estaba Ernesto Veloz, presidente de la Asociación de Hoteles y Proyectos Turísticos del Este (Asoleste). Proporcionó perspectivas valiosas durante las deliberaciones.
