Miches, DR.- The girls from the municipality of Miches witnessed three weeks full of empowerment, learning, and fun during the exciting summer camp “I am a girl, I am important”. During this period, girls of different ages had the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities and workshops designed to foster self-esteem, social skills, and creativity.
Every summer, the camp targets 300 girls between the ages of 9 and 12 who live in vulnerable environments with the aim of providing them with a healthy, safe, and fun space that gives them the necessary tools to make decisions according to their age and keep them away from the cycles of inequality and violence.
This camp has proven to be an invaluable opportunity to inspire, entertain, and empower girls, giving them tools to face challenges and build a bright future in their lives. Their success reinforces the importance of creating safe and nurturing spaces where they can fully grow and develop.

Among the outstanding activities that were given were the Identity workshop by Miss Rizos, Answers workshop by Elaine Felix, Yoga practices, soccer classes, STEAM workshop on science, turtle workshop, crafts, rally on foot, workshop Street Harassment, spa, costume games, hose bath, crafts, experiments, CEPM workshop, sports, dances, and Hand Prosthesis workshop.
