Santo Domingo.- Don Cheadle and David Costabile, prominent Hollywood actors known for their roles in “House of Lies” and the Ironman and Avengers films, as well as “Breaking Bad” and “Billions” respectively, will participate in Cap Cana: World of the Celebrity Golf Championship.
The tournament is scheduled from October 5 to 8, 2023. Other actors joining include Dean Norris, Bruce Greenwood, Kim Coates, Grant Show, Dane DeHaan, Amaury Nolasco, and Mike Mills, the bassist and founding member of the alternative rock band REM.
This event brings together top figures from sports, music, and entertainment to raise funds for local and regional charities. It showcases Dominican Republic culture and attracts international media attention, contributing to the economic, community, and charitable impact in the region.
The inaugural event will raise money for academic scholarships and the construction of a new baseball field in Verón. Additionally, the legendary musician Elton John is planning to perform live, marking his first performance in the Dominican Republic since 2014.
