santo domingo.- He Dominican Popular Bank reported that its data center located in the Torre Popular complex obtained the international TIER III Design certification, granted by the international certifier Uptime Institute Professional Services, thus adding to the one obtained at the beginning of the year for the data center located in the NAP of the Caribbean.
This achievement places Banco Popular as the only banking entity in the national financial system to have both data centers certified as TIER III Design, which means that its technological infrastructure meets the highest international design standards and allows it to provide its customers at all times the best digital products and services.
Commitment to digital transformation
This new certification, valid until 2025, highlights Popular’s commitment to innovation and its leadership in the digital transformation of financial services in the Dominican Republic, supported by a team of professionals with high human talent and constant investment in technological systems, which this year alone will exceed RD$8,000 million.
The Uptime Institute certifier issues its evaluation based on the documents submitted by companies, being considered an accredited entity to qualify and certify data center designs internationally for more than twenty years.
