First Pickleball Court Complex in the Dominican Republic Inaugurated by Hotel Dominican Fiesta, Hosts National Tournament

Dominican Fiesta Hotel inaugurated the first pickleball court complex in the city of Santo Domingo to complement the sports offer for its guests and members, and continue promoting the sports tourism segment.

The information provided highlights that the courts were inaugurated with the first national friendly pickleball tournament in the country, organized by the National Pickleball Association of the Dominican Republic, Dominican Fiesta pickleball 2who promoted the development of this project through a strategic alliance with Palladium Hotel Group.

During the event, Gina Núñez, commercial director for the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, expressed that “this new project seeks to provide memorable travel experiences and expand the range of sports options to guests and members of Club Fiesta, aligned with the latest trends so that “Enjoy your stay at the hotel to the fullest.”
Dominican Fiesta pickleball 3Núñez also highlighted the chain’s commitment to promoting this sport in the country, which is why four pickleball courts were recently inaugurated in the sister complex of the Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts chain, located in Punta Cana.

For his part, Leandro Tajes, general director of the Dominican Fiesta Hotel, explained that “these new sports facilities respond to three objectives, the first is to continue developing this sport in the community and the country, enrich the offer of Dominican Fiesta pickleball 4value for customers and continue promoting sports tourism in the country.”

Pickleball courts are available to hotel guests and Club Fiesta members at no additional cost from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. For people who are spending the day at the hotel, the use of the courts has a cost of RD$1,100.00 for adults and RD$900.00 for children from 03 to 12 years old.

Dominican Fiesta pickleball 5The first edition of the friendly pickleball tournament was divided into 10 categories, where beginners and experienced players had the opportunity to compete in this match. Which were divided into the following: Team competition (MLP), mixed teams in two categories, intermediate and advanced, beginner men’s singles, intermediate men’s singles, advanced men’s singles, intermediate and advanced men’s doubles. In the women’s category, the singles and doubles categories were played.
