For the 7th Consecutive Year, Punta Cana International Airport Earns Title of Best in the Region

Incheon, Republic of Korea. – Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) received for the seventh consecutive year at the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards ceremony of the Airport Council International (ACI), the award for “Best Airport by Size and Region” in the category of 5 to 15 million passengers per year in the Caribbean and Latin America.

In addition to this recognition, the airport obtained the new Costumer Experience accreditation. This multi-level certification guides airports towards excellence in customer experience management, according to the eight (8) different domains: customer understanding, strategy, measurement, operational improvement, governance, airport culture, service design and innovation, and collaboration with the airport community.

The director of Landside Operations of the PUJ, Alberto Smith, received the recognition on behalf of the airport from Elena Avila, Executive VP Airport IT and Airline Operations of Amadeus and Luis Felipe de Oliveiras, general director of the Airports Council International (ACI). at a ceremony at the Grand Ballroom Paradise City Hotel in Incheon, Republic of Korea, during the Customer Experience Global Summit in partnership with Amadeus.
