The Real Estate Agent

Santo Domingo- The authenticity of real estate agent Marisol Shanlatte was evident as she discussed her journey in the industry. She openly shared her trajectory, which is not commonly done.

Marisol has been a part of the real estate sector for a decade. However, she worked independently and improvised in her initial five years, lacking any structured approach.

Untrained at first, she transformed her approach as she joined the Elite House real estate agency. Here, she encountered Ariel Castillo, a leader who challenged her to aim higher.

Ariel instilled in Marisol the belief that with proper training, she could hone her potential into professionalism.

Inspired by Ariel’s innate ability to motivate and empower, Marisol began exploring options that shaped her into a competent real estate consultant.

“My colleagues’ achievements also inspired me, prompting me to be professional. Hence, I consider myself a professional adviser for the past five years,” she said in an interview with El Inmobiliario.

Although born in San Cristobal, Marisol began her career perceiving it easy. She left her first job within months and started working independently.

Work That Brings Satisfaction

Beyond being a job, being a real estate agent offers an enriching experience to Marisol. It allows her to interface with a diverse group of people, acting as an advisor and counselor.

“The dynamic nature of the real estate market keeps me in constant learning. It’s also financially rewarding,” Marisol added.

A natural entrepreneur, Marisol founded “Viviendas 1A”, a real estate agency. She aims to establish cooperation with other real estate businesses to foster mutual growth.

.

“I am now reinventing myself, using my experience to strategize and boost visibility for my firm Propiedades 1A, leading my team towards growth,” she added.

Her firm markets new and under-construction properties in downtown Santo Domingo and Punta Cana.

Regarding the Real Estate Sector

Marisol expressed concern over the growing number of untrained individuals in the real estate sector. She believes this leads to unethical practices.

While there are professionals who maintain ethical standards, many are primarily focused on self-interest, leading to weakened relationships in the industry.

Marisol wishes to leave a legacy in her community, named “CEO Real Estate”. It is an alliance of real estate entrepreneurs working together towards a shared goal of excellence and growth.

“I Created this community to fulfill the need for a supportive and professional network of colleagues,” she noted.

The community now consists of 19 entrepreneurs, all working collaboratively with their individual teams under a model of mutual support and growth.
