The CEO of the Meliá Hotels International chain, Gabriel Escarrer, announced in the company of the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, the arrival of the ZEL hotel brand in partnership with the Spanish tennis player, Rafa Nadal, whose first hotel was inaugurated last month July in Mallorca
In that sense, through Minister Collado’s social networks, the CEO of Meliá says the following: “I want to make you part of the experience of bringing the Zel brand to America for the first time, which is the brand that we have recently created together with the great tennis player Rafa Nadal. It is going to be a latest generation Zel right here in Punta Cana and we are going to accompany it with a tennis academy that will also be a model ‘Rafa Nadal Tennis Academy’, which will also be the first in America, so we are very proud of this public-private collaboration, and thanks to the support of Minister Collado and President Abinader and All of us who are jointly making that quality commitment, that diversification commitment is a reality once again”
Meanwhile, Collado highlighted that the tennis player Rafa Nadal would be in the Dominican Republic next year, so this would be, as Escarrer indicates, the first ZEL hotel in all of America, thus forming part of the initial plans of the twenty that Nadal and Gabriel Escarrer, intend to open in the next four years, after the first one established in Mallorca as we have mentioned.
In addition to the hotel, a tennis school located in the Rafa Nadal Sports Center, in Manacor, Balearic Islands (Spain), which has 45 tennis courts, of which 19 are outdoor fast surface; 15 outdoor clay courts; 4 hard surface covers; and 7 semi-covered clay courts.
