McLean, Virginia – The American hotel chain Hilton Hotels & Resorts reported its growth plans for 2024 with the opening of 15 new hotels in Latin America and the Caribbean, which include the Zemi Miches All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, north of Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

In a statement detailing its plans to accelerate its expansion in the Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton says it is prepared for another revolutionary year in the region and 2024 is expected to be the first in market openings for multiple brands, including highly anticipated Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Cacique and Zemi Miches All Inclusive Resort, Hilton Curio Collection.

It highlights that the portfolio of Hilton is made up of more than 220 hotels and 40,000 rooms, spanning 15 brands and 29 countries and territories and the company's project portfolio in the region continues to strengthen with the signing of more than 35 new hotel agreements in 2023.

With a strong signing year in 2023 and an extensive portfolio of 110 hotels in development, the company expects this momentum in the region to continue.

Pablo Maturana, vice president of development for the Caribbean and Latin America at Hilton Hotels, explained that the record growth they achieved in the region in 2023 is the result of the strategic approach to bringing the right hotels to the right destinations at the right time, partnering with exceptional owners.

“Hilton's award-winning brands continue to generate interest from developers in the region, where we have tripled our presence in the last decade with a diversified hotel portfolio. The momentum of our growing portfolio reflects the power of our brands and our ability to meet the demands of leisure and business travelers,” Maturana concluded.

Hilton is experiencing unprecedented growth in Argentina and plans to double its portfolio in the country to 20 hotels. Currently, it has 10 open hotels and 10 projects under construction or design.

In 2023, Hilton solidified its presence in the country's internationally acclaimed wine region with the debut of Hualta Hotel Mendoza, Curio Collection by Hilton, in September, followed by Hilton Mendoza which opened in December.

Hilton Garden Inn Salta also signed, the brand's first hotel in the province, and Tru by Hilton Bariloche, introducing the Tru by Hilton brand in Argentina. DoubleTree by Hilton Buenos Aires opened its doors on January 23 and the company is excited to continue building on the momentum it achieved in 2023.

In Mexico, Hilton has approximately 120 hotels open and under development. Finally, with six hotels in operation and more than 10 in development, Hilton plans to almost triple its presence in the Dominican Republic.
