16 players with a recognized career in international events will participate, standing out at the highest level of women's polo.
The Puntacana Polo Club will celebrate the 1st International Women's Polo Cup, to be held next Saturday, January 27, at the Puntacana Polo Club in Puntacana Resort, with the participation of four international teams and players representing nine countries.
The sporting event, which will be the first women's polo tournament in the Dominican Republic, will feature the participation of 16 players with recognized experience in women's polo events at an international level, representatives from Argentina, Canada, Colombia, the United States, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.
“Each team has a renowned polo professional, including Argentines Clara Martínez Ferrairo, Martina Gadea and Camila Rossi; and the Argentine-Colombian Sofía Rivas. It is an honor that many of the participants have started and learned to play the sport in our Puntacana Polo Club,” reported Agustín Arestizabal, professional Polo player and general director of the Puntacana Polo Club.
Likewise, he added that the “Puntacana Polo Club is the ideal field for holding a tournament of this nature, in addition to the added value of the attractive variety of activities and facilities that Puntacana Resort offers.”
The event has the support of Ron Barceló, VegaFina, Mercedes-Benz, Alpha Inversiones, Arajet, Gulf, United Gas, Mónica Varela and Puntacana Resort.
