Paris, France.- With the aim of recovering the country’s leadership in the Caribbean region for the French market, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, yesterday led the opening ceremony of the Dominican stand at the Top Resa 2023 fair in Paris, France.
At the event, which takes place at the Paris Porte de Versailles (VIPARIS) venue from October 3 to 5, the Dominican delegation is exhausting an intense program of business meetings with tour operators, airlines and other tourism actors French and European.
In this edition, the country tries to recover its former position as the first long-distance tourist destination in the French market, by advancing agreements and negotiations with French tourist groups and airlines. This was stated by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, when speaking about the results of the first day of work at Top Resa.

More flights to Punta Cana and Santo Domingo
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Gustavo de Hostos, president of General Air Services, announced that from this moment on there will be 7 weekly flights on the Paris-Punta Cana route and 2 weekly flights on the Paris-Santo Domingo route, with more than 6,000 seats available.
The agenda of day 1 concluded with the usual dinner offered by the Banco Popular Dominicano, at the headquarters of the Dominican diplomatic mission in France.

The Dominican delegation is made up of about 20 private companies, including hotels, operators and excursion providers.
